About the technician.
Jeff Thoreson — second generation, Snohomish, Washington.

Second generation
Jeff apprenticed under his late father, David Thoreson, RPT, and began working on piano repairs alongside him at four years old.

Trained in music
A Bachelor of Music from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and a Master of Arts from Seattle Pacific University. College summers went to renovation work in the family piano shop.

On his own since 2000
After several years mastering the art of tuning, he opened Thoreson's Piano Service in the fall of 2000. He lives in Snohomish with his family and services pianos throughout the Puget Sound region.
